Q: What is an underbase and why do i need it?

A: An underbase is a technique used on medium to dark colored garments to ensure that visible inks will be vibrant. It involves applying a base layer of white ink on the apparel before all other colors are applied. The other colors are then applied on top of the underbase, this ensures the colors stay as true as possible.
